Mountain Biking Oldham Trail

***   Add a review
#132 of 417 mountain bike trails in Arizona
#4,425 in the world

There is a sigletrack here down though the towering trees. Follow this to a network of trails. Then look for the Oldham tr sign and head up hill. Climb all the way up to the fire road on your left. This is a heck of a climb. It just keeps going. Approx 5 miles. Take a left across the road and grab the signletrack that heads down. Take this for quite a while till you get back to the network again. We got screwed up here and just kept looking for sweet single track and we ended up in a neighborhood. We took the rodes back to Buffalo Park. 23 miles total.

Getting there
Get to Flagstaff. Find your way to Buffalo Park, not hard to find. Start at Buffalo Park. Head out towards the peaks. Down the stone road for 1/2 mile maybe. Then head for the trees.

Great access from town, fun for a quick afternoon or morning ride or en route to more of the spectacular riding on Mt. Elden.

The Trail Is Very Eroded And Nearly Impossible To Climb Up.It Is Ridable going down But Other Routes Are More enjoyable

You won't be disappointed with any of the single track between Elden and Buffalo Park. Local Flag riders know, you have to get Cosmic Ray's guide if you're going to ride there.

Fun riding here with lots of opportunities to wander around through the loops. Check out Cosmic Ray's book for more detail. Good place to test ride more than one bike as the trails are close to parking with immediate climbs/descents past the gravel road. Great woods scenery! Watch for hikers and their dogs (supposed to be leashed) and lots of other bikers; close to town so a from-home ride for some.
