This is an old gated gravel road that runs for 3.3 miles straight through the center of the valley. This old road forms a sort of hub that everything else branches off of or intersects with at basically one point or another. Some sections of the road are pretty boring, but others are full of slick rocks and boulders and are actually more technical than some of the trails. Note that some sections of #474 are bike legal and some are not, but also be aware that the map and the signs will not always agree about which trails are and are not open to bikes. Some of the trails listed as bike legal on the map are not marked as bike legal on the signs, and some marked as legal on the signs are marked as closed on the map. Use caution and common sense.
