Mountain Biking Paradise Royale
#132 of 1,004 mountain bike trails in California
Sweet incredible single track. Reminded us of Downiville trails, but not torn up by motorcycles. Over 3000 feet of climbing per lap. HEY its mountain biking brothers and sister's

This is a dynamic test of fitness level and not technically demanding. By going clockwise one really gets a good flow ride on the way down. The people who maintain the trail have done a great job. The only disappointment was my expectation of more ocean views. The signage was good and it was cool to see the terrain park alongside. I parked at the first turnout (room for 3-4 cars and it saved my tires legs from having to climb another few hundred yards at the end of the ride.
Thank |Awesome ride! The challenging climb is worth it! The terrain park is fun, too, and there was no one there! Unbelievable.
Thank |A ride that is definitely worth finding. "Paradise Royale" hidden deep along California's Lost Coast is very well designed to optimize the riding pleasure. Lots of climbing (2800' ) that is structured to test but not discourage. DH portions are super fast and not too technical. Much of the ride is along ridge lines that were covered with "brown ice" (leaves) when I rode in October. Nothing too tricky but it could cause you to slip off the edge if you loose focus. Trail is suitable for any intermediate rider with a fair level of fitness. Trail crew deserves accolades for the job they have done. I would ride again if I'm ever in the area.
Thank |Fantastic trail! We did some trail work a few weeks ago and then rode the next day. Not too strenuous for those who are moderately in shape and the payoff descent is fun and offers technical and beginner options.
Thank |What can I say 14 miles and over 3000feet of climbing. sweet single track. A little over planned for my taste. But over all great trail designed by mountain bikers for mountain bikers. Camp ground was all rider groups.
