Mountain Biking Paseo de la Mesa
#182 of 283 mountain bike trails in New Mexico
About 10 miles of old doubletracks, some following power lines, and singletracks. Not really a designed network; just a group of segments in an open space between the residential area and the Petroglyph National Monument. Some of the network goes into the Monument where bikes are not allowed; not every border crossing is marked.

From I-40 in Albuquerque, go north on Unser, left on Vista Vieja, left on 81st St NW, and then the lot will be on the right.
Rather uninteresting area. Albuquerque has far better trails and scenery. This trail is completely exposed and barren, often windy and definitely not a place to go when it's hot. It's main value lies in that exposure inasmuch as it can be ridden on those rare occasions when other area trails have some lingering snow/mud.
