The Park City Mountain Resort/Old Town area accounts for most of the trails right above the town of Park City. While many of these trails can be accessed by chairlifts or shuttled on the roads, none of the trails in this area are downhill-specific trails. All of them are multi use and two-way, so when descending, be sure to keep an eye out for oncoming traffic.
This area includes a wide variety of singletrack, including some chunky gnar, buff trails, berms, switchbacks, aspen groves, roots, rocks, loam, gravelly-sandy soil, and plenty of fantastic views! In this area alone, there's enough riding to keep you busy for a week!

Fun trail, a few sections of straight double track that was disappointing. The bottom felt like washboards for the last two miles. All together a fun trail.
Thank |Visiting PC from TN and everyone said not to miss riding up this trail. Well - it's a cool trail and I'm glad I rode it BUT- we rode it on a Monday in mid-Sept and still ran into several hikers i.e. cant imagine the hassle of trying to ride it on a weekend or during a more busy season. As it is a tremendous challenge in so far as the elevation gained - there is nothing technical going up. You only need a set of good lungs and to expect a good workout. We are old and intermediate mountain bikers at best so this was challenging. Great views -.
Thank |For the most part neither intensely technical nor flowing nor back-country. Very rocky in parts, chattery in others, feature-free in others. I rode it downhill. It does get ridden uphill.
Thank |You have to stay focused on John's Trail which twists and turns as it meanders through dense aspen forest! There are lots of narrow gaps to navigate between the trees, all at the same time as you're watching out for roots that will try to unbalance you. It's quite intense - you won't be able to build up a lot of speed.
It's a two-way shared trail but it's nearly always ridden down hill and it's not popular with walkers. It starts near the Mid Mountain Trail and drops you at Sweeney's at the bottom so you end up near downtown Park City.
It's less than two miles long and slopes down nearly all the way, descending about 500 feet.
Thank |We rode Scott's bypass to the Crest Trail over to Desolation Lake and down Mill D Trail. Although we had to hike across a couple of snow drifts tha conditions were great and the trails are awesome. Another week and the snow drifts will be gone.
Thank |A must do in Park City, super fast, lots of fun features and switchbacks, just watch out for uphill hikers.
Thank |Nice climb in PC, nice escape from the heat in SLC. It is uphill only but watch out for rogue hikers.
Thank |Fun, fast intermediate trail that descends and climbs across the valley connecting Mid-Mountain and Ontario Bypass. Minimal tech features. West to East direction may be slightly more fun (and more descending), but either way is worth it.
Thank |A trail to ride for the views or access to Wasatch Crest.
Thank |Upper section is twisting overgrown super tight , which quickly becomes a nearly straight fall down the ridgeline. Some sections with proper rocks, but mostly loose scree more like gravel. Can be taken at high speed. Not a trail to climb.
Thank |Moderate grade and minimal tech uphill only trail. Does get a fair amount of hikers.
Thank |Awesome stuff. Be ready for the altitude if you are not from high ground.
Thank |Connector trail to other trails. Loose gravel and packed dirt. Some climbing.
Thank |I posted the same for the DV area...
Thank |So much hand-cut single track above MidMtn. These trails have such a variety that everyone from advanced to sub-intermediate, from DH to XC will be pleased. Mid Mountain always has traffic, but if you take a few minutes to pick up a PC Summer Map and plan then you can minimize the slowdowns.
Easiest way to go UP to Mid Mountain trail, and others in PCMR. Nice gradual climb, no killer steep sections. Was cut for exactly this reason, the easiest way up. If you don't want to take a lift up, and don't want to kill yourself, this is the only way up.
Thank |Many loops from the top, and then have way fun coming back down on CMG or Spiro.
Fun and flowy, easy and fast with a couple of rocky sections. I wouldnt recommend this as an uphill route. You're better off heading further either direction on mid mountain and climbing upper cmg or tommy two step
Thank |Very easy, flowing singletrack. A nice way to get off of Spiro without having to bike back to PC resort.
Thank |Fun downhill from Armstrong! Connects to the bottom half of Spiro.
Thank |Great, simple climb with some nice views of the Resort!
Thank |Liked this trail a lot! Fast and tight with one man-made wooden berm!
