Right from the start you climb a steep little hill to the ridge. Once on top you wind along the ridge for a little ways until dropping down the back side where the trail traverses it's way back up the valley. A couple of miles in there is a nice little climb that has been carved out of the hillside. From the bottom of the valley this climb looks bigger than it really is. The trail builders did a fantastic job keeping the grade mild. Once again the trail traverses along the hillside for a little while before entering a rocky canyon. The trail has a few sections of rocks that are fairly technical but overall the trail has a good flow to it which makes it really enjoyable. In this rocky section you will junction with Sweet Connies and then continue your way up to Bogus Basin Rd. We did this as an out and back and logged around 11.3 mIles and 1650 ish feet of climb. You can connect to several other trails and make this great little trail part of a larger loop. Ride safe and have fun!
