Mountain Biking Penrose Commons

***   Add a review
#912 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado
#10,822 in the world

This is a rugged network of jeep roads, atv trails and a smidge of motorized singletrack. The area was designed specifically for motorized off-roading and there are no bike-specific trails, but bikes are allowed throughout the area. There is everything from nonthreatening, wide, easy jeep roads, to narrow, super chunky motorcycle trail.

I found this to be a fun venue, although it's definitely not for everyone. The main jeep roads are great for a family spin, and much of the other OHV trails are heinously chunky, requiring serious trials skills in places. There's not much inbetween and what there is, isn't really flowy. But the scenery is nice and if you know where to go, a nice spin can be had. There's lots of camping on site which is nice, but no water source, so bring your own.
