The Peters Ridge Trail #37 follows a ridge, then crosses an avalanche path right before the junction with the Alpine Trail #7 after climbing about 1,400 feet over 2.6 miles. It provides great views of the Flathead Valley. The start of this trail is at the end of Forest Service Road 5388 which is seasonally closed from 4/1-6/30. For access during this period please use the Krause Basin OHV trail off of Road #5385, then hike part way on Road 5388 to the trailhead. The trail is open for the following uses: hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and motorcycle trail riding. source: fs.usda.gov
