Getting there
From Interstate 10: Take exit 135 (W. Picacho Ave. /Highway 70 East) and travel east for approximately 2.5 miles. Turn north on Picacho Hills Dr. Continue on Barcelona Ridge Rd. after one mile. Travel one more mile and turn north on Anthem Rd. Follow this for one mile to its end. Turn north on Loop Rd. (unpaved). Follow this for 1.5 miles to the trailhead parking lot.

    I suggested a friend check this out and here is what he said: "It's the worst trail I think I have ever been on. Basically it is nothing but sand and horse manure and zero signage whatsoever. I should have turned around in the beginning, but I was hoping it would get better. But it only got worse. There are a few spots that are rideable, but 85% is sand, and I mean deep impossible-to-pedal-in sand. Sand going up hill, sand going down hill, sand riding on flat land, just sand, and horse poop all mixed with rocks."
