*****   Add a review
#37 of 307 mountain bike trails in Oregon
#1,891 in the world

Start on the glade trail from just south west of the main lodge. Its rocky single track. Follow to the Crosstown trail a little more mellow dirt. Then merge with the pioneer bridle trail some steep down hill with some switch backs packed dirt and some rocky areas. It brings you to hwy 26 cross hwy and continue on trail to camp ground.

Where else can you shuttle for $2 and descend 16. This is the case if you start at the Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. The Pioneer Bridle section is actually more fun in my opinion than the Timberline section, but I wouldn't do one without the other. This is a must do. If you have time pop over to Sandy Ridge just 15 minutes west on Mt Hood Hwy. Epic day!

Ten plus miles that can be ridden on its own or as an extension of the Timberline to Town trail. A great mixture of fast, flowy tracks, loose gravel & rocky sections and a couple non technical climbs.you can ride a bus (Mt. Hood Express) to shuttle to the Timberline Lodge for $ 2. The trail dumps you close to the bus stop.
