Mountain Biking Pit Bull Pass

  Add a review
#16 of 17 mountain bike trails in Costa Rica
#27,378 in the world

The downhill section takes you for about 45 min. past primary and secondary forest with some very technical sections. You then ride on gravel, still downhill, past sugarcane and pejibaye plantations for another 30 min. After the town of Pejibaye you get to the Reventazon river, a good spot to get refreshed before you start climbing out of the river valley up to Tucurrique. Stop for lunch here before you initiate the long paved climb out of the valley and into the Orosi Valley next door. After 1.5 hours you will get to Cachi and from there it is a short hop back to Orosi. Check out http://www.lava-tours.com for more info.
