A tranquil view of a lakeside scene, featuring slender white birch trees and lush greenery in the foreground. The lake, reflecting the clear blue sky, is visible through the trees, surrounded by a diverse landscape of vegetation. Pokegama mountain bike trail.

Mountain Biking Pokegama

#132 of 388 mountain bike trails in Wisconsin
#6,343 in the world

It's an out and back. There is a road you can take back to the lot. Some bridge crossings. Some spots aren't even dirt. This is a easy begginer trail. Helps you get ready for the larger trail systems in the area.

Pokegama turned out to be a bit harder then expected. The trail starts out as a steep, and has plenty of difficult spots through out. There are about 3.5 miles of quite narrow singletrack, that's rooty and, this early in the season, spongy, and it weaves around the many, many minor dranages, and crosses the streams on good small bridges. That's a long 3.5 miles. Or maybe it's just me, this early in the season. all together not bad. good challenging fun out and back.

Accidentally put my house as the trailhead. Sorry.
