From Chicago: Take Interstate Highway 94 north. In Milwaukee, exit onto Interstate Highway 43 and continue as directed below.
This trail is essentially a XC ski trail with a piece of singletrack in the middle. This fact subtracts from the "out there in the woods" feel. In addition, the large sets of power lines running over your head for extended periods of time further subtract from that same feeling. Furthermore, the lack of any type of flow makes the predominantly rooty obstacles annoying instead of fun.
Thank |In the end, it comes down to this. It doesn't feel like you're mountain biking on this trail because it feels too much like you are XC skiing on it with a bike.
This is a nice easy ride through the woods. Great way to get away from your campsite. The trails are marked well and the views of Sturgeon Bay along the way are fantastic. The trail takes you by the Lookout tower (75' tall) and is worth stopping to climb to the top. This is a good trail for beginners and anyone who just wants to get out into the woods. The best place to start on this trail is either at the Lookout tower or at the Southern end of S. Norway Rd between park lots #3 & #4.
Thank |We were riding the roads in the park.
Thank |Trails are more like double track but do make for a nice leasure ride and are mowed to keep the weeds down.
