Mountain Biking Prairie Lakes State Reserve

  Add a review
#262 of 289 mountain bike trails in Florida
#17,682 in the world

Terrain: Flat pine woods and oak hammocks. Limited hunting. Call (407-436-1626) for information on hunting status.

Prairie Lakes has some good trail and dirt road riding and is also home to the reintroduced whooping crane. You can sometimes see the cranes in their chain link enclosure near the back of the reserve. They will eventually be released into the wild after they are taught to fear predators by biologists disguised as wild cats! This area can be too wet to ride at times but it is generally not as wet as the Bull Creek area.
