Mountain Biking Putnam Trail

Putnam Trail is nice, narrow doubletrack in the heart of the UWEC campus and Eau Claire itself. Although it's not a "mountain bikey" as nearby Pinehurst Park or Northwest Park, it still provides a good lariat loop in the woods if you need it.

Coming in from the west on U.S. 12, turn left onto Hendrickson Drive in the UWEC campus. Go straight through the roundabout to continue onto University Drive. Where the road comes to a T, take a right at the first T and a left at the second T to stay on University Drive. Finally, take a left onto Garfield Avenue. The parking lot should soon be on the left.
