I almost brought my wife here a couple weeks ago, but fortunately we decided to hit a tamer trail down the road (she's not real comfortable on a bike yet). This trails a lot of fun, I mainly do XC riding so I had to walk a couple of the features here. I also managed to pinch my toe under my own pedal in such a way that launched my bike into the weeds and my body into a mercifully forgiving tree. Laughed the whole way down. After being out for a while I encountered "the Matterhorn" when I only had about 20% left in the tank. I had to chill at the top to recover from the climb and I had to hike the last bit of it. This is the closest trail to my house now and I look forward to getting to know it better and improving my technique. Hats off to the trail builders for all the little amenities like park benches and clear trail markings. Also the hikers and trail runners here seemed super cool and the trail head feels like a great place to hang out.

Had my first opportunity to try Quanah Hill. Been riding MTB in North Texas since the early 90's, so not sure why I never made to Quanah Hill. Nice trail. There is a new loop called El Bandido. I uploaded a pic showing the new loop in red (old loops in blue). Nothing overly aerobically challenging. Easy climbs, although the new El Bandido loop has a couple of climbs that might lower your gears. With the climbs come some nice (a couple of faster) resulting decedents. So basically, a little work with some reward. No real technical challenges either, but a fun XC trail. The trail has a nice flow to it. Good signage, with bike and walker traffic directed in opposite directions. Good job on this trail Weatherford Mountain Bike Club.

Nov 26th 2017. My 1st ride here. Great trail! Loads of fun, decent climbs with great descents. Half a dozen other rider well spaced out. Don't miss this one. I know I'll be back.

This is a great trail all around. Terrain is mostly dirt, but with some rock gardens, and intermediate to advanced in difficulty. Expect lots of climbing, followed by flowing descents. Do your best to keep your momentum up because this trail is a lung buster. Well marked and nearly impossible to get lost. The Bankhead section has two nice downhill runs, and the last bit of the trail (aka drunken redneck) is great fun.

Great trail! Good for some xc riding with some fun fast sections and several technical bits. Free to get in and a little over 5 miles long I believe
