There are numerous places where you can access the trails on the trails on the Quantocks.
Crowcombe Road goes over the range between Over Stowey and Crowcombe and there are two car parks up on top.
The Triscombe downhill trails are best accessed by heading up to the car park on Cockercombe Road.
There is good access at the north end from Weacombe Lane in West Quantockhead.
There is good variety of trails up on the Quantock Hills and on a clear day, an excellent view over the surrounding Somerset countryside.
Thank |They are very round hills and they only rise about 1000 feet (300m). Up around the tops there are myriads of walking tracks, four wheel drive tracks and bridal ways (horse tracks). They are great for a Sunday exploration ride.
Towards the south of range, up from Triscombe, there is some serious singletrack, developed by local mountain bike enthusiasts, both downhill and cross country, technical and rolling. You won't find a trail map anywhere and there are no signs to help you find your way around. So if you're from out of area, get in touch with the locals through their facebook page: Triscombe Bikers Collective.
