Mountain Biking Ramshorn Lake
#71 of 265 mountain bike trails in Montana
A great out-and-back, or you can ride out Porcupine trail if you have a shuttle or
a lot of time on your hands. It's 7-8 miles up to the lake on trail that gets
gradually steeper as you go. Mostly a nice climb with a few pushes. Turn around
and head back down for a great descent, or continue up the trail to Porcupine
and down for a longer ride. I believe the trail is closed to MTB above the
Porcupine turnoff. Lots of horses so be careful. Look for sheep on the rocks
above the lake.

From Bozeman, head S. on 191, past Big Sky, to the 320 Ranch. Enter the ranch,
bear left and drive past the reception hall and several cabins on the way to the
Buffalo Horn trailhead. Trail is at the back of the parking lot - do not use the trail
to the right of the sign as you enter the parking lot.
