Mountain Biking Rattlesnake Knob #452
#277 of 549 mountain bike trails in North Carolina
Rattlesnake Knob is a blazing-fast 1.6 mile descent from a power line tower all the way down to a gravel road. It used to be a gravel road but has reverted to sweet singletrack with plenty of rollers to boost off of! Be warned though: this is an out and back, so what goes down must turn around and come right back up.

I took a wrong turn and ended up on this trail. While I was praising it on the way down, when I reached the bottom and realized that I would have to climb back out the way I had come I was definitely cursing it! Because it doesn't work into a good loop of any sort, it doesn't get much traffic and could use a little maintenance. But all told, it's not in bad shape.
