As an intermediate mtn biker, thought this trail was average. Very close to the Yough River if you're a kayaker. The singletrack was pretty good but some rock sections seem to come up in spots where it's difficult to maintain speed to ride over them. After crossing the bridge, take the right onto the Beige Trail! If you stay left you'll be taking the green trail and have to do some long climbing. Otherwise a decent trail.
This is the best trail in Garrett County for sure! Easy to navigate as it is very well marked. This is a technical trail that is in the back country areas of the area. So, use caution when riding. The trail is littered with Rocks, tight turns, bridging (wooden and rocks), steep climbs, and lots of great flow! Also recommend using a Bear Bell in case our fury friends are around ;-)
Some of the blaze colors are questionable and hard to see; however, the system is good. The beige trail was a lot of fun but the green had a lot of technical rock gardens that I do not prefer. Overall, a little bit of everything for everyone. Deep in the woods and some neat features like a bridge over a stream and the climbing areas close to the lot.
Awesome trail did it with my family some "bike & hike" probably wouldn't of needed to by myself
Thank |The yellow to red loop is short but awesome !!!!
