Great trail for beginners. Roots add some technical challenges. Some sand. Boardwalks are very slippery when wet.

This is a very nice park that offers a combination hiking and biking system of trails that are mainly wide and flat. The birdwalk trail has a technical feature of roots on a down hill section that leads into a boardwalk. I would rate it an intermediate level of difficulty. Overall this trail system is setup for a leisurely stroll along the riverside and the park offers other amenities such as fishing, boating, mini golf, multiple play grounds and a new body weight wheelchair accesible workout area near the mai. Trailhead.
