Start climbing up 542, right on 2954, and after 11 total miles of gravel road climbing, right onto the singletrack of trail 800. Then right onto trail 801, back down to the road, and right on the road (913) until you get back to your car. Need more info? Stop in at Glacier Cyclery, or buy a forest service map.
This trail is hands down one of THE best trails I have ever ridden! Amazing downhills, with enough rocks and roots to give your suspension a workout, and AMAZING flow! So sweet! There are even some jumps and small berms on the trail 801 section, and trail 801 ends with a section of SUPER tight switchbacks! The dirt on this trail is amazing, tacky, confidence inspiring DIRT... not like the sandy/gravelly stuff you get in a lot of places in Colorado. So sweet!
There are several options available on this ride, too.
1. When you hit the singeltrack, hang a left, ride down that section, climb back up the road, and continue like normal.
2. Instead of hanging a right on 801, continue straight on 800.
So enjoy the amazing singletrack to be found here!
This is an amazing trail! It's a brutal climb up the gravel road, but busting down that sweet, sweet singletrack is so worth it! The trail just swoops and flows all the way down, and then it gets steep and throws a few jumps in the mix. This trail is a must-ride!
Thank |This is a great trail, But you have to be careful as this trail is heavly used by dirt bike (motorcycles). in both the up and down directions.
