A rocky pathway winding through a dry landscape, surrounded by sparse vegetation and cacti, under a clear blue sky. The terrain is uneven, with various sizes of stones scattered along the trail. In the distance, rolling hills are visible. Reserva El Cimatario mountain bike trail.

Mountain Biking Reserva El Cimatario

****   Add a review
#20 of 95 mountain bike trails in Mexico
#5,912 in the world

This trail takes you around the Cimatario Mountain, the highest point of
Queretaro. In this mountain are located most of the antens of TV and Radio
Stations of Queretaro. You can take different courses with your bike in the
park and you can do them in any direction. Feel free to experiment and
explore all of the ways. Some times after the rain season you can probably
find some of the ways destroyed by water, this can be an extra challenge
because of the technical skills required.

Starting from the guards entrance you have a 7km climb Up to the antenas. After that you can go down for a 3 km track which requires solid technical skills due to the abundance of rocks. Great views from the top! Park is watched by guards with 4 wheelers and all visitors are registered for monitoring.

I've made this trail several times and it is fun, you can try the different alternative routes in there. It's always a challenge to get to the anten on the top of the Hill, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the whole city of Queretaro.
