Mountain Biking Richmond Avenue and Forest Hill road
#112 of 301 mountain bike trails in New York
First mile or so is a mix of crushed gravel and tar. After that lots of roots, ruts, rocks and wood bridges. This trail can get very sloppy after rain. Lots of bikes on the trails, but like all trails in the New York City Area, bikes may or may not be allowed.

Really nice ride, from Richmond ave it's a lot of up hill until you get to the golf course then coming back it's nice downhill.packed Gravel,
Thank |Nice easy trail. Few small to medium obstacles. Not bad for a nice workout.
Thank |The only reason to ride here is when the local trails are iced over or the snow is too deep. Don't even think of riding this in the summer. When the temperature remains below 20f for a few days, the moisture on the sand hardens up and makes riding easy. Nice ocean views.
Thank |Rocks, roots, ruts, streams, deer, hikers, dogs off leash , nice short steep climbs and descends, wood bridges over wet areas and a nice place to ride.
