Mountain Biking Dakota Ridge

*****   Add a review
#478 of 1,395 mountain bike trails in Colorado

The Dakota Ridge Trail is highly technical with some mandatory hike-a-bike sections, but if you can tough it out the views and the stupendous technical sections are well-worth it!

Dakota Ridge is definitely black diamond -- rocky and chunky. One could spend a lot of time sessioning some of its challenging features. There is some steep exposure here with rock and cacti below, so play it smart. Plus, even though the trail is in town, there is a bit of adventure because of a good hike-a-bike section getting up to the ridge ... which could also make for a very technical descent.

This trail is now finished, and it is an absolute blast! Some sections are extremely technical, but are oh-so-good!
