Mountain Biking Ridgeline Trail #65

*****   Add a review
#26 of 549 mountain bike trails in North Carolina
#556 in the world

Ridgeline is one of those downhills that you just have to ride! This is fast,
flowy, smooth singletrack at its finest... and ridden from top-to-bottom it is
downhill all the way! Keep your eyes open for the chance to hit a couple
massive berms of roughly 8-10 feet in height!

As good as advertised. But be prepared... you'll need to climb back up afterwards because you really need to ride it again ;)

I rode this trail about a year ago, and at the time it was pretty blown out. Accordingly, massive braking bumps and some pretty big ruts dominated the experience. It was still really fun to ride, and zipping through the trees a high speed was awesome. I just think the hype raised my expectations a little too much. I'm excited to go back there and give it another go!

If you are in the area this is the one trail everyone says you have to go to. And I agree. The workout to the top is well worth it. I complained to the top but smiled all the way down. Like other people have said the only bad this is it is bidirectional.

Every time we head to NC we ride this trail. Its really fun, the best flow trail I've ridden so far. The only drawback is you occasionally get stuck behind someone who is moving slowly, and its a bidirectional trail. So keep your eyes open for uphill traffic! There are also a few well placed trees so be careful...

Amazing! Super fun, flowy trail. I agree it can be fun for any skill level including beginners, as long as they're comfortable with the brakes. Glad we saved it for last!

Upside: Loved it. Extremely fun and flowing!

Downside: Very populated so make sure your brakes are in order;)

Awesome trail, my favorite in the Asheville area. You can take the first trail on the list after ridgeline to get to the top, it is like a 5 mile loop. I did it several times. Total blast.

Since I rode it last, Ridgeline has been reworked into a legitimate flow trail! I would still call it a beginner flow trail, but the construction and speed is top-notch. This is crazy fun!

Very well built and fun flow trail. Plenty of rollers to double and berms to rip. It's great for any skill level. My girlfriend has only been riding for a few months, and she loved it! She had a huge grin on her face at the bottom of the trail.

We ran across some horses at the very top of the trail, so keep that in mind. Apparently, horses like to climb flow trails.

This trail is AMAZING. Perfect smooth flowing singletrack winding between trees with jumps and nice berms. You might as well be in fairyland on this trail. Basically this trail is a must at Dupont.

It is a great trail. Great for all levels of riding. So fast! So many jumps! So many berms! You don't even have to climb if you can get a ride to the kids loop and picked up at the parking lot by the bottom of the trail!

Super fun trail. Very smooth without rocks or roots. Lots of flow left and right. Check your brakes and watch for the trees. Be sure to do Hickory Mountain before heading down this trail. Enjoy!

P.S. If you're in Dupont, you gotta ride it.
