Mountain Biking River Trail
#170 of 279 mountain bike trails in Texas
The trail follows the levee that runs long the west side of the Rio Grande from the Upper Valley of El Paso into New Mexico. There is a paved walking/jogging/riding path nearer the river. The levee is gravel and dirt and a good way to accumulate base miles for training. This a great place to take the kids or beginners and introduce them to mountain biking.

The trailhead is on the west side of the river. There is parking at the animal clinic. The clinic is next to a motorcycle dealership. There is a frontage road in front of the dealership that is also accessible for parking.
Easy flat trail for an easy cruise. Great place to bring small kids as they learn to ride.
