A gravel path stretches into the distance, flanked by sparse vegetation and a few scattered trees. On the left, a leafless tree stands prominently, while to the right, a row of green trees lines the path, leading to nearby structures in the background. The sky is partly cloudy with blue patches, and mountains are faintly visible in the distance. River Trail mountain bike trail.

Mountain Biking River Trail

***   Add a review
#170 of 279 mountain bike trails in Texas
#7,558 in the world

The trail follows the levee that runs long the west side of the Rio Grande from the Upper Valley of El Paso into New Mexico. There is a paved walking/jogging/riding path nearer the river. The levee is gravel and dirt and a good way to accumulate base miles for training. This a great place to take the kids or beginners and introduce them to mountain biking.

Easy flat trail for an easy cruise. Great place to bring small kids as they learn to ride.
