Mountain Biking Riverview Park

#113 of 293 mountain bike trails in Pennsylvania

Nice singletrack and doubletrack close to town, trails are marked with their name. Used for cross country running/hiking and mountain biking. Love the violet trail, snow flake is challenging since has rocks/climbing. Good for trainning on hills. Love this trail, sad to see it doesn't get much attention. I live right next to it and love riding there.

This trail is about as worthless as any trail can be. Good short climbs though. Other than that.... horrible.

A lot of quick, yet steep hills to climb and descend. For the most part I found the double track trails with occasional single track breakouts. I need to ride this with PORC to really get a better feel of the flow.

Overall a good ride as it has rained for the past two days and I only found two little spots were there was mud.

I did have one area where I was really moving then all of a sudden steps popped up for me to descend! Hope to go back soon.

My first time riding this trail was only about 20 min and it was in near darkness with a headlamp on my helmet. However, the elevation change, paired with the challenging width of the trail made for what appears to be an awesome place to get a good ride in. The single track I rode hugs the side of the hills very closely and there is a lot of opportunity for obstacles to be built. Definitely worth riding if you live close by. If you don't, hit Frick instead.

This has become my local trail since it is so close. it has great quick single track that you can really roll on . I never see anyone riding and it blows my mind that there are not people all over the place on these trails. it's a great after work ride.. I take my dog also and have never had an issue. it's a great hour ride ..

Love this trail, it's right next to my house so its very convenient and it has some intermediate technical areas. Very nice for hill climbing training. I've mountain biked on several states and I've got to say that I've fallen in love with this one. I am rating it intermediate because it has a good amount of climbing which for a beginner might be tough and also some technical areas
----Update: Moved 3.5 hrs away and still come back to Pitt to ride on it occasionally. Miss this trail, it's a hidden gem. People can park next to the observatory on the side of the road or if you keep going down Riverview Ave there is a parking area as well. I ride by myself and never had any problems/even did night riding here.
