A stone tower with pointed corners stands against a clear blue sky, partially surrounded by a snowy landscape. A bright green mountain bike leans against the base of the tower, adding a pop of color to the scene. Rivington Pike mountain bike trail.

Mountain Biking Rivington Pike

*****   Add a review
#7 of 98 mountain bike trails in England
#2,453 in the world

Best place to start is at the top of the Pike by the castle. Once up here (after the climb) there is a short technical section that runs from the top, few drop offs and grassy sections.
Once you get the gate a left hand turn will take you to a couple of decent singletrack sections, and a right turn will take you back into the chinese gardens for a nice cross country section

Been a few times and the climb is long but the views from the top are worth the effort. There is a few ways down and all a good fun even the rocky bit just past pigeon tower. All in all a good ride.
