From Yakima head west on Summitview Road approximately 2.5 miles. At the summit, make a left of Rocky Top road. Careful, the line of sight is quite limited! The parking lot is clearly marked approximately 250 yards ahead. From there the trailhead is easy to find and well marked.

Rode this for the first time in August. Great ride for when I visiting family in Yakima. I like this a bit more than Cowiche Canyon.
Thank |Fun area to ride. I was not prepared for all the rock gardens but pushed through and had a good time.
Thank |Great trail system with some fun jumps up on the upper sections and some great XC trails down below.
Thank |A fun flowy beginner trail that is fun for everyone! Love it!!
Thank |Best place to ride in yakima if you don't mind earning your downhill. Its about a 30min to 1hr climb to the top of cowiche mountain, depending on your fitness level and if you take the main service road trail up and take the bench trail to the top. Not sure of elevation. There is many ways to come down lots of singletrack. There is a map at the trailhead.
Thank |Very Rocky, as the name says. I felt like I rode a 10 mile rock garden by the end of this trail. Good way to make for a long XC ride if you link this together with Cowiche Canyon.
Thank |Decent finish to some rough riding along the Rocky Top trail system. This is kind of flowy with a little bit of vegetation over hang.
Thank |Fun end to a system of high desert singletrack called Rocky Top.
