This trail section is much like Bear in the same area. We have only ridden as part of the Reno/Flag loop, but we continue past the Bear Jct. and "T" into Rosebud at which point you turn right just as you would if you turned onto Bear. It's mostly a grind of a climb with many rocky sections, but the payoff of the section of trail you "T" into to get back to Deadman's in worth it.
