Mountain Biking Round Valley Regional Park
#434 of 1,004 mountain bike trails in California
Steep fire road. Going to try to link it to Morgan Terittory which links to Mount Diablo. Note from park staff: No single track trails are currently legally rideable in the park.

5.2 Miles West of Byron. Parking and maps
System trails (1)
You are only allowed on the 8ft wide trails. The trails are rough and destroyed by the cows and horses. And very sandy. Highly trafficked by hikers who aren't paying attention
Thank |Mostly typical east bay fire roads. The first mile or so isn't too bad, steep st times but shaded with a few small rock gardens that are beginner friendly. The actual valley portion can be rough from cattle damage and is completely devoid of shade. Right now there are stretches of the valley road that would require a child to walk their bike due to the damage.
Thank |Not my favorite. As per usual the good stuff is off limits. sort of like an extension of the Black Diamond mines, hot, arid and cow damaged. My son did meet an attractive equestrian so there is that.. Oh and if you park in the wrong side of the lot will get a warning or a ticket.
Thank |Starting out is a moderately steep climb followed by another. If you stay to the north side you can take a single track to skip the steepest hill climb, tho I like it. After this its relatively simple. My 10 year old son loves it. What I like best is that you can take it to a connector into Morgan Territory if your ambitious, to make a long all day arduous challenging ride. If you are not local it may be a hike to get to the trail head on Marsh Creek Road.
Thank |Worth trying out to check it off your list, in my opinion.

Fantastic ride.... the climbs are pretty steep if you are into pain! Best enjoyed with a group of fellow bikers and bring plenty of water during the hot summer days. Best enjoyed early in the morning.
Thank |Average grade is 25%+ but you will gain over 1000 feet in less than a mile at one point, from 4 mile to 8 mile will be 2500+ foot of gain
