Mountain Biking Sagsagiin Ridge Trails
#19 of 70 mountain bike trails in Mongolia
The area contains abundant singletrack and doubletrack on forested slopes, along with ample opportunity to "no track" on big open slopes. There is well over 40 miles of singletrack and doubletrack to ride, starting back at the bridge. It's a great area to spend a couple of days riding and exploring. Bring some Google Earth sat images and a compass to help keep your bearings.

Sagsagiin Ridge is at the bottom of Hovsgol Lake in the region south of the lake. The top of Sagsagiin Pass is on the main road about 7 mi NE of the old bridge that crosses the Egiin Gol (river) just south of Hatgal.
You can start the ride from the top of the pass or really any number of places in the area. You can also start from the bridge at the Egiin Gol (or at Hatgal) and ride out to the area using the main road. There is lots of good riding along the way.
