Mountain Biking Saluda Shoals Park
#36 of 115 mountain bike trails in South Carolina
The trail is a multi use trail. The singletrack intermingles on and off of the greenway and power line roads. There are short, intense climbs mixed with hammer down singletrack and a few rooty gullies to keep you on your toes. A good alternative to the other, densely packed or water logged trails. A very fun night ride. Very little signage, trail maps available at entrance. 5 dollar daily use fee, or 45 dollars annually.

From St Andrews Rd, turn left on broad river rd. Saluda Shoals park will be 2 miles on your left.
Saluda Shoals Park (SSP) is a good place to ride if you like to ride different surfaces. I am working with the park to label or mark the trails better. A lot of the bike trails are obscure and not easily found...which does keep pedestrians away :-) but makes it difficult for new comers to find them.
Thank |Saluda is a great place to ride. There are some good climbs and figure 8s. There are also a few good drop ins. It's a good place to condition
Thank |It's ok. Too much gravel between trails, but fun little trails if you are pressed for time.
Thank |Majority seemed paved. (Very nicely kept up as well) Few rooty trails here and there and I came across a gravel path aswell . lots and lots of water views
Thank |This was a great ride on a hot sunny Sunday in July, trail winds along creek, they have quite a bit of construction going on which gave the opportunity to ride on some packed gravel and do some exploring.
Thank |By far the easiest trail my family has ridden. All trails are paved with many pull off points to enjoy the river and playgrounds for the younger kids. Great park for teaching kids about biking and many other things to do there.
Thank |Nice park to ride with the family or those new to MTB. Lots of paved paths, double track bridle trails, and a little singletrack. Park has great views of the Saluda River, and nice amentites such as picnic areas and restrooms.
