Mountain Biking Sand Creek Trail North
#1,291 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado
This is an urban trail that is about 3/4 dirt and 1/4 pavement. From Stetson Hill to Barnes the trail is paved. This is a beginner trail but does clear quickly of snow, so you can get some miles in when everything else is covered with snow or muddy. The trail runs along Sand Creek for its entirety and behind various neighborhoods. There are tunnels under the main roads, so you don't have to battle traffic. The intent that it will someday connect to the lower parts of Sand Creek Trail (South) and to the entire Colorado Springs trail system. There are random social trails spinning off of Sand Creek Trail that one can explore.
