Getting there
Go to Post office in Angelus Oaks, CA. Ride down dirt road going NE on that roadv for about 3/4 mile to a big turnout on the right. Single track starts here. Follow the buff st for as long as it goes. you will intersect a road to go back to TH at 5. And 8 miles. The single track goes on much farther but I only went to 9 miles before I had to turn back on account of darkness.

Great alpine ride, it had a nice combination of sun exposer and shade. Doesn't leave you out in the sun to long then treating you back to the shade. Word to the wise though, bring a net to cover your face. The bugs can get crazy in the slow spots.

This is a fantastic trail with several options to ride it. The most popular is a shuttle ride as you will park @ TH across from South Fork Campground and ride back to the restaurant in Angelus Oaks with the climb out is appx 14 mi. I usually ride is both ways I start at the lower TH in Angelus Oaks ride up to SF TH then back down 22mi. The trail offers fun in both directions. You will encounter rock gardens, roots, stream crossings and heaps of exposure. Great alternative for an epic in the Big Bear area.

The trail was a lot of fun, but looks like it's not seeing a ton of use right now and needed a little bit of work. There were some downed trees, and erosion in places. Overall a good fun ride though.
