The trail starts at the top of the road and connects with Santa Rosa Truck Trail road. The road and trail ascend 3,000 ft. to 7,000 ft. and are within the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument, they offer views of the desert areas below. source: fs.usda.gov
