This was once a disc golf course, but now it's been put to better use. This course was once used the the Southwester College as a class on mountain biking. Check out the geocaches in the area as well!
A small parking lot looking area is in front. You can park at the Southwestern College or in the field across the road. Walk a few feet west of the logs at the end of the old parking area, you should find a small trail. NOTE-this trail is for the most part unmaintained, however a new sign has been added by sponsors and there is now a plan to have maintenance done every month.
This trail is in way better shape now. Well groomed and easy to follow. Nice flow. Taking you from climbs to flats to rocky sections to some downhill and light technical sections. Well done guys. Short but well layed out. Keep up the good work .
Great trail to build skills on. Some rocks, a few climbs and trees that may try to reach out for you. This trail is ideal for learning how to trust your front wheel traction, so many switchbacks.
This trailcould have great potential. It's short but if there was ruteen maintenance and more bike traffic to pound a path back into the ground it could be a nice ride. The grass looked as if it was way out of controll before being mowed. I had no direction of where the trail was going. I had to lay down the dike and hunt down the path, then ride what I could see. Once you get into the trees the trail was clearly visible and had some nice features. My suggestion is if you want this to be recognized as a trail on Singletracks take care of it and be proud, I think it is worth the time.
Watch out for fur trees eclipsing the trail and check yourself for ticks. Prepare yourself to go fast or learn how to ride fast. plenty of opportunity to push yourself &your bike without worry of any major crash causing any serious injury/ damage.
The college's maintenance department has concerted some of the trail into a truck path for access to a large burn pile. Besides that the trail is nice if you're wanting to get an idea as how much you and your bike can handle.
