Mountain Biking Seven Bridges Trail
#504 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado
This trail is better walked & ridden in sections... The walking generally being on the uphill portion. The trail crisscrosses the creek in several spots, most of them having small footbridges in various states of disrepair.
However, coming back down is the treat at the end of the trek. The trail is populated by masses of roots, rocks, stream crossings, small drops, and foot-dabs aplenty. It is not a trail for the faint-hearted, or cheapo bikes.... but the challenge you get is worth the effort.

Head up Gold Camp road to the High-Drive Rd./Captain Jack's trailhead. Follow Gold Camp {closed to vehicles} till you get to Cheyenne Creek. On the right side of the creek is the trail which leads up either to the Buckhorn cut-off trail on the left, or Seven Bridges on the right.
Better as a hike than a ride. There are more fun trails around. As a hike, great in the spring, Awesome waterfalls when the snow is melting.
Thank |It's awful don't do it.
Thank |This trail was not built with a mountain biker in mind.
Thank |There are a few ways to get to the top of this psychotic little piece of singletrack; all of them work. What's the payoff? A white-knuckle descent down a boulder strewn gravelly rut. Actually, it's a lot more fun than that description makes it sound, but you've got to be willing to take some pain and be willing to walk once in a while. Up high, there is huge exposure. Throughout, there is bottomless gravel that will send you surfing, and most of the way, there are1'-2' rock drops, often at the most inconvenient angles. It can be fun to descend if you're okay maneuvering low-speed technical drops. Climbing is impossible unless you have Hans' skills and Lance's lungs. I'd give it another star if it wasn't such a pain to get to the top.
Thank |I like to tie this in with a frosty park, pipeline, to this trail up buckhorn down jacks and chutes. It makes it nice and techy coming off pipeline. I have never tried to climb this trail i think it would suck to much. But has really nice almost rock stairs to rip down. If you dont like shelf trail stay off the top part of this trail. Once you get below the waterfall let her rip! fun ride. good tie in to pipeline to extend techy downhill.

Thank |This trail is a loose, gravelly hike-a-bike nightmare. I finished it because I'm into punishment, but I will never do it again.
Thank |Very rocky, some sections have several stairs and railroad tires. Although it is steep and rocky in many sections if you are a good climber, much of it is climbable. I would not ride if you don't like rugged trails, if you do, it is great!
Thank |7 Bridges is indeed a technical challenge. Hike a Bike for most of the uphill for a novice like me. The terrrain keeps you busy on the way down with lots of obstacles. All the bridges have steps that you mus negotiate A much better hike than a ride!
