Mountain Biking Silverdale
#635 of 1,383 mountain bike trails in Colorado
Silverdale is a ghost town now and no buildings remain but the streets and a few roads still exist. There is what even looks like an old rr grade. There is no developed trail system here. There is about mile of premium single track under the power line. To get to the single track cross the foot bridge take the first right climb up a couple of short hills when you get to the powerline turn left. The trail isn't ridden much and is kind of hard to see in places but it is generally under the powerline. I hear you can get to the top of Saxton Mtn.I have only made it about 3/4 of the way. There is also a trail that drops steeply to Georgetown{not recomended for beginners].Have fun it will take you while to figure this place out. Thanks Clear Creek Trail Ass. for the clean up of these trails.

Take I-70 west of Denver to Georgetown exit 228 follow signs to Guanella Pass Road. About 2 miles up you will see the first reservior take the first left past the reservior stay left and park down by the foot bridge. The turn off Gunella Pass is not marked but you should be able to see it a short distace past the reservior on the left.
