Mountain Biking Sink or Swim
#144 of 256 mountain bike trails in Wyoming
The Sink or Swim Trail sidles across the Snow King ski slops not far above Jackson. At its western end it links to Josie's Ridge Trail and at its eastern end it joins Ferrins Trail. It's best ridden east to west, ie, from the Cache Creek end, because that way you get a slightly down-sloping ride. It's non-threatening but there are some stones and roots to navigate so you need better than intermediate skills to enjoy it. There are nice views over town, the Elk Refuge and the Tetons.

You can access the Sink or Swim trail from half a dozen places along the Snow King Mountain side of Jackson Hole. Wildlife Lane is one trailhead - it's just off West Snow King Avenue by the bridge over Flat Creek. You can also link to it from the base of the main chairlift. You can even join it from the Cache Creek trailhead via Ferrins Trail.
Sink or Swim links downtown Jackson to the Cache Creek trailhead and to the top of the mountain via Ferrins Trail. It is a shared two-way trail that is popular with runners, and dog walkers. There are fine views over town.
