Smith Point Trail is a cool ride through Dominguez Canyon. Not too technical or steep.Ride back up the road just before the curve turn left on Smith Point Trail follow the double track. Pass through a gate. Continue up the double track a short distance. Watch for the singletrack that takes off to the left. After a couple miles turn left on an old road for a short distance. Right on the singletrack just before the fence. At the Carson Hole sign cross the creek (a beaver pond now!) continue south up the valley past Bret Point Trail cross the creek again and look for an old road that comes down to the creek. Climb out of the canyon to Smith Point.
For a harder ride you can hook up with Divide Forks Cutoff to Divide Road for a 36 mile out and back or make a loop by riding up Bret Point Trail # 649. The USFS Uncompaghre National Forest map shows these trails and others in the area.
