Great bike trails for all skill levels follow the above link- trails are graded- easy to expert. The Snowden Demonstration Forest provides recreational activities that include hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing and of course, mountain biking. You'll find this forest west of Campbell River and north of Highway 28 near Loveland Bay Provincial Park. A trail leads from a parking lot on the right of Loveland Bay Road (on the way to Loveland Bay Provincial Campground). Over 30km (19 miles) of trails suite all levels of mountain bike riders and includes the Frog Lake and Lost Lake trail systems. Trails are usually 2 to 8 kilometres (1 to 5 miles) in length and frequently intertwine. Some of the easier-going routes follow old railbeds that have been rehabilitated as recreational trails. Most trails are intermediate to expert, with lots of roots, short steep drops and rolling terrain. (source Campbell River Tourism)
