Mountain Biking Snowmobile Trail
#191 of 302 mountain bike trails in New York
We took the southern trail initially. It's approximately 6 miles to and from the end of the trail. The trail is great for those who want to test their bikes to see if they will actually hold up or not in rough conditions, and for those who are beginners. The first part of the trail is pretty level, yet very bumpy due to rocks. The trail then starts some turns and ups-and-downs, but watch for some fallen trees that you will half to go over. The final part of the trail, if you go fast enough (which makes it harder), you can have some decent jumps. The trail ends on E. Bloomfield St. behind apartments, which is where we turned around and went back.
On the trail map at the parking area, it shows the northern trail as well, which we have yet to do.

Head North on Rte. 46 outside of Rome. Just after the speed limit turns to 55mph, there is a pull-off on the right. There is a snowmobile trail map at this location, with the trail heading north or south.
