    Reviewing Bear Way:

A short trail at Soaring Eagle regional park in Sammamish. It’s the most technical XC trail there, with some logs, sharp turns, rooty sections, and an optional rock roll that’s pretty cool. Some of the features that used to be there have been removed and some have been made easier over the last 2-3 years. It’s a good spot to ride in the winter or good for night riding.

Most of these reviews are older. Good updates have been done on these trails with bridges and trail elevations taking care of most of the mud issues. This place is a lot of fun on a low/no suspension bike (XC-style trails), with some ups/downs, a lot of turns, and the typical amount of PNY rocks/roots. The trail system is really well marked with maps at most main intersections. There are enough trails here that you can do a solid 1-2 hrs ride without having to repeat trails in the same direction too much.

Great for confident beginners. Due to lack of maintenance, some trails would be considered more of intermediate trails, with many roots and rocks occupying downhill stretches. Great for a quick ride if you're in the area, and has great signage. Would only recommend to confident beginners though due to lack of difficulty ratings, lack of maintenance in some areas, and abundant & persistent mud.

Fun little network to get some extra miles if you're in the area. Beginner friendly if you want to get the kids out or bring someone new to biking. Nice parking lot, and very well marked so there's no way to get lost. Overall the whole system could use some maintenance so that all of the roots and down trees aren't making for dangerous conditions.

Very well marked trail with signposts about every 1/4 mile. Hills were not overly steep nor was the trail overly technical. However, you will want to wait a few days after rain before riding here...the trail get very swampy in places. (Unless you like riding in deep thick mud 3" to 10" fairly regularly ) * Review edited 5/8/2011

Rode this trail system the other day. Pretty fun and WET. All intersections are marked with maps. About 10 miles of trail, pretty fun.

Fun trail- the best downhill that I have found on it is about a 30 second fast section right by Kramers Landing. Supposdly "Dark Slide, or Devils Slide" (the names get confused) has some small stunts on it. Be careful about going off the map- some lead into fall city. These trails are very muddy in the winter, even in the early spring and summer-- but by mid June/July they are hard packed and primo- its also good to ride in the cold, because the ground water is frozen, and its super tacky
