Mountain Biking Soldier's Field House
#133 of 1,216 mountain bike trails in Washington
There is a large network of trails used for tri-athalons. There is something for everyone. Begginers can work on all aspects of riding and experienced riders can fine tune their skills. Nothing to technical, but I am trying to fix some areas up and expand the trails. A few drops, descents, and rock sections. If you come to the trail bring a small shoval or rake to fix the trail because random branches, leaves and rocks litter the trails.

Enter Ft. Lewis main gate, (must have visitors pass if not military) follow 41st Division to Pendleton Ave and turn left, drive to 2nd Division Dr. and take a right then drive until you see Soldiers Field House Gym on your right hand side. You will come to a stop sign and turn right into the parking lot. Park and go behind the gym and you will see trails...
Wide trails used for the short mud races that the Soldiers Field House gym does. There is a short but slightly steep hill climb on one portion of the trail, but other than that this is very easy and beginner friendly. If you want to put in a short after work ride and you live near then this would be good.
Thank |There are some huge climbs in this area near the gym. I am working on making a few drops and jumps to make it a little more technical. I should have some pics uploaded pretty soon. I recommend you check it out and judge for yourself. A great workout and a really fun ride.
