Mountain Biking South Fork of the Provo

****   Add a review
#92 of 710 mountain bike trails in Utah
#2,451 in the world

South Fork of the Provo is a fun, short, scenic singletrack ride. It is an ideal trail to introduce a new mountain biker to the joys of singletrack! The trail has one or two rocky spots, and one small hill climb. It is an out and back, with a short loop at the end. The more advanced rider can continue on up the trail past Big Spring.

Fun trail! Only 20 minutes from Provo. About 3 miles up and back. The trail continues up the mountain but is gets insanely steep. There are a few different trails. A high traffic hiking trail on sat. be careful for hikers. Down hill is brilliant! great anytime. always cooler than the valley.

This is a short ride but because of the various side trails it can be ridden many different ways and the downhill is a blast. Given the length of the trail and the proximity to town this a convenient quick ride.

This is a fun trail in a great area. It stays cool in the summer and you can do laps. There is a lot more to it then the description says. Explore around a little and you will not do an out and back except the first mile up to the beautiful meadow you ride through.
