Mountain Biking Spadra Creek Nature Trail

*****   Add a review
#19 of 206 mountain bike trails in Arkansas
#1,493 in the world

Half of this trail is paved and lighted. It follows Spadra Creek and offers nice scenery. It goes through town and nature (we saw 2 deer just off of the paved path). New to the trail this year local groups have built Mt. bike trails through the woods. These mt. bike trails are clearly marked, organized and well maintained. There are contruction bridges, walkways, playparks and more. The water level was up when we rode the trail and got to enjoy some really nice scenery riding beside the creek. We spoke to a corp ranger and he said the city maintains the trail and adds to it quit often. The trail is one big loop, with Mt. Bike trails going out and back off of the loop. Great for beginners, family or anyone who wants to enjoy an excellent trail system with great scenery

Getting there
I-40 to exit 58, go north on hwy 103. There is a trail head to the left just past the waffle house. If you continue North there is another trailhead (the official one) at the College of the Ozarks. Both trail heads are marked with signs.

Lots of fun stuff to do on this trail. Great system well maintained.
Hate to add a negative, but I've run into some shady characters a couple times. Not always good for a loner trip.

Loved the Trail. One of the best rides in Arkansas. It has a pump track and tons of ladder bridges.

this is a delightful network, mostly in bottom land around it's namesake, except upper Scott which is downhilly, hitter higher up. plenty to explore for a few hrs.

The trail is made of several loops. Most are right off the paved trail and the iron bridge. All single tracks, short loops, and good flow. They have good scenery and are always well maintained.
