Starting at the Montvale overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, head south towards Roanoke and about 100 feet, the trail will be on the right of the road and will end down at Rt. 645.
Road black horse fire road to BRP left on parkway to left on spec mine trail (hard to find, its before Montvale overlook) Spec is a blast, fast and for most part smooth. Left on fire road back to start.
Thank |Really cool trail that snakes along the side of a ridge (very narrow), then up a little to ride the ridgeline, and drop way down to a fire road. challenges include plenty of rocks, a very narrow tread, with a high shoulder
Thank |A great trail, in my backyard. Fun for a quick hour loop. Lots of fun flowy singletrack, and some good technical, rocky sections.
Thank |I went down this trail the other day and it was in great condition. Definitely coming back again.
