Mountain Biking Spider Mountain Bike Park

*****   Add a review
#51 of 279 mountain bike trails in Texas
#1,819 in the world

The first year around lift access downhill park in the US, and the only lift access DH park in Texas. Located in Burnet Texas near Lake Buchanan.

Open on weekends, $50 gets you lift access to the top for the day (or you can ride your bike to the top instead), and ride down any number of trails rated from green all the way to double black diamond. Expect all the usual things you would see at a bike park; hardpacked flow trails, chunky desecents, jumps, wooden features, etc.

A premiere biking trip and bucket list item for all Texas mountain bikers.

It's so awesome to have a place like this in Texas where our trails are mostly flat and downhill runs are short.

$50 to get lift access, but if you're cool with the price, this is an experience you can't get anywhere else in Texas. There are four main lines from the summit that you can take down, which pause at some fire roads and branch out to multiple other trail segments. As of this writing I think there are 8 total dh segments to choose from (from green to double black diamond), and they plan to keep adding more.

There's only so much I can say about this place, but Its a downhill bike park so expect lots of speed, jumps, rocks and berms. Plenty of videos on youtube if you want to see what the runs are like. At the end of the day, you'll have a big smile on your face and it will be money well spent. If you live anywhere within a day's drive and you're a mountain biker, you owe it to yourself to get out here at least once. A solid five stars!

Great park already! It's been open right around a month and is already a blast. Yes there could be more beginner and intermediate trails, BUT again it's new. More trails are coming and when they do it will no doubt be even more great. The solo green course is double track style with several banked switchbacks and a fast exit. The blue trails are a nice mix of technical and speed. Vipers den is a great whole trail. My favorite combo however is to drop in on Vipers den, 1st fire road cut over to Itsy Bitsy, 2nd fire drop into Venom. The end of venom is a nice jump trail with a fast single track exit. WILL BE BACK SOON!
